Task one - Pre-production 

Now that your idea for an advertisement has been accepted by the client it is time to prepare for the production.  You must make sure you have completed all of the following pre-production documents for your own television advert:

For our media production we will be producing a 30 second advertisement encouraging the public to drink Lucozade sport. We will be aiming this production at teenagers and young adults who are the most energetic and sporty of all the ages. We will also make our advertisement appeal to both sexes as their will be women in it this will appeal to men but this will also appeal to women as the women in the advertisement will appear as role models. The advertisement will provide evidence to suggest why it is classed as an energy drink and will show how the drink performs by giving people energy. This advertisement will be shot in a dance studio where there will be two girls who are dancing and get tired, they will then drink the Lucozade sport and feel energized. Our advertisement will use the specific drink as a prop and we will use other actors/actresses throughout the advertisement to make the advert appeal to our target audience. In the background the music of our advertisement will be upbeat and something that will appeal to young age groups. Their will be facts displaying what the drink offers for people and how it helps people if they are running out of energy. We will be showing what the drink can also do for people of all ages. The main actresses of the advertisement will appear in the advertisement almost all of the time, but their will be other actors and actresses performing in the advertisement. We will be making this on a digital camera and will be using this to perform many different shots, some of the shots that we will be performing will be, close ups, longs shots and high shots. When editing we will use many different techniques to make the advertisement appear more appeal and more interesting to our customers. There will be a budget of up to £300 per day.

Rough Sketch/Explanation of location and key points to note Our location is in the Robert clack sports centre, dance studio. We will have to pay around £17 per hour. There will be someone their to open the doors for us. Access to location via: We will be walking to our venue. It will take around two minutes to walk there as it is near Green Lane. Health and Safety Issues to note: ●      There are large mirrors and the dancers will have to be careful when dancing in there. ●      There are also bars on the walls and the dancer will have to be careful not to knock their heads when dancing. ●      There is a large stereo in the studio and dancing will have to be careful not to bump into it.

Potential Filming Problems: ●      There may be days that we cannot film. ●      There may be some issues about actor availability throughout the filming process. ●      We may not be able to take the same equipment. ●      There may be equipment in the way when filming. ●      We may have to repeat some filming a few times. ●      There could be some problems with the camera.

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems: Some of the potential problems that we may face while developing our production may be that; -          We need to make sure that the filming space is free before we are able to us it. We can overcome this problem by making sure that we have a time plan set to make sure we have we book the space out at the times we need them. -          We need to make sure that we are careful with the equipment to prevent any accidents with the equipment. We can overcome this problem by making sure that we book the equipment out for a large period of time, so that we have the equipment. -          There may be an accident and this will prevent us from being able to film. We can overcome this problem by making sure that all of the dancers have enough space and are careful when dancing.

Agenda: We were discussing what was going to happen in our advertisement with the actors and actresses. We made sure that all of the actors and actresses that were taking part in our advertisement knew what they needed to do. We were also going through the filming schedule and when we would be shooting our advertisement. The actors and actresses spoke to use about how they felt about the schedule and if there were any problems as to when we are going to film.

Minutes: When is everyone free to film as this should only take a couple of days to get all of the filming finished. Everyone is free to film on the Thursday and some people are able to film on the Tuesday, we will film on the Thursday because everyone if free to film. Everyone must make sure that they are in appropriate clothing that they are able to dance in, these are things like gym clothes. Someone will need to provide the drink and bring it in ready to be used and everyone must remember their gym bags for the first shot. Make sure that everyone is there at 3.00 pm ready to film straight after all of the equipment has been set up.
