Assignment 4 - Task 2: Part 2 Screening

Screening -

Qualitative - I produced a screening where i was able to ask people question, and get there input on things like what they thought about my advert. What they would rate my advert, some improvements of my advert and what there full opinions of my advertisement was. I received some really good notes about how i could improve and what there opinions of my advertisement was.

Quantitive - I also produced a survey monkey this made it easy and quick for me to gather information, this however to not provide me with spoken information about how people actually felt when they were watching my advertisement. I received good feedback from this as it gave me information that was important in finding out what people thought of my advert.

When i was trying to find out what people thought about my advert i used survey monkey, i made a questionnaire involving a group of questions that i had made up to find out what people thought and they left some feedback on how i could have improved my advertisement. There were some improvements that i could have made that the people i asked pointed out, the most repetitive one was that i should have not used to many effects and should have used a larger range of shots. Everyone knew what the advert was about, and they knew who it was appealing to. They felt that the advertisement was effective and the majority of the people i asked to do this gave it an average of and score 8. I also used a screening, i was able to find out some improvements that i could have made and people felt that i could have used a range of different genders of people within my advertisement.

The pros and cons of using survey monkey are that it was a fast and effective way of collecting information and it was easy to find the information that i needed. The cons of this are that you cannot find out what people's points of view are and cannot find out if they feel that there were a large range of improvements that could have been made. The pros and cons of doing a screening were that i could find out what peoples opinions were and what they felt about my advertisement for example someone felt that it would have not been appealing to them as they felt that it was focusing on certain people.

Collect feedback from a range of different aged people and genders, this is effective because i was able to find out if this would appeal to the older generation as well as the younger generation. There were things that the person from the older generation felt that i could do better, that were different from some of the things that the younger people felt i could do to improve. In my screening i made sure that there were a range of different people there was someone of an older generation and both genders of people, this mean't that i was able to get everyones individual opinions.

I asked a range of different questions these included open ended questions and yes/no questions and one answer questions. These made it easier to collect my information as i could get quick and simple answers that were effective, i could also find out how people felt about the advertisement and what they felt i could have done to have improved my advertisement. When i was doing my screening i made sure that i asked questions i could get one answer to as well as questions were i was able to get a large amount of feedback and advice.

My feedback was reliable as there were a range of different people that participated in my survey and my screening, they all gave there own opinions. They were also people that would give there honest opinion on what they felt of my advertisement and of the improvements that could have been made about my advertisement.

Some improvements that i could have made were that i could have used a range of different shots as most of the shots were similar and i could have also used a wider quantity of shots. I could have also put a range of different gendered people in my advertisement so that it would appeal to more people. Something else that i could have done was to use a range of different aged people in my advertisement so that it appealed to a larger variety of people. Some improvements that people felt i could have made were to use a range of different people in my advertisement. People also felt i could have improved by using a larger range of shots.
